Project 22 in the Network of Cultural Stations as an Introduction to the Title Year 2022

The Project 22, presented by the ‘Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture’ Foundation and NEO Festival – non-classical festival of classical music, was an overture to 2022, when Novi Sad will bear the title of the European Capital of Culture.

The programme of the European Capital of Culture 2022 was symbolically presented within 22 days. The concept of the programme is structured in eight programme arches, with an all-encompassing programme stream – Visit Novi Sad platform.

One of the numerous locations across Novi Sad and its surroundings was the network of cultural stations. At the opening of the Project 22 in the Rumenka Cultural Station, Novi Sad Brass Quintet performed, while in the Svilara Cultural Station, we had an opportunity to listen to the Flute Ensemble of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and Kamerata Novi Sad, ISON Mixed Inclusive Choir, as well as the pianist Valentina Nenasheva, who performed with the cellist Anet Jakovčić. In Egység, we enjoyed the performance by the Nexus piano trio, while the audience in Bukovac enjoyed the guitar sounds by Petar Popović.

In addition to cultural stations, great names of music scene and young talents from Serbia and abroad performed in the Gallery of Matica Srpska, Sinagogue, Petrovaradin Fortress and Sremski Karlovci. You can see the best moments from all the concerts on the website visitns.rs.
